I am a philosopher at the Freie Universität Berlin. I have held positions at the Universität Hamburg, the Humboldt-Universität zu Berlin (as a founding member of the phlox research group), the Universität Duisburg-Essen, and the Eberhard Karls Universität Tübingen. I have done most of my work in the philosophy of language (in particular on so-called truth-conditional semantics), with some work in metaphysics and the philosophy of logic. You can find my full CV by clicking Work above and scrolling to the end of the page. Currently, I am mainly thinking about semantic essences, the semantics of generics, the methodology of semantics, and the philosophy of linguistics more generally. If I still had the time, I would enjoy operating the mixing desk of a dub sound system.
